The Siskiyou Senior Players

Started in 2007 by Joan Lucas as the Mt. Shasta Senior Theatre, Joan’s vision was to offer those that were ‘up in years’ an opportunity to spread their wings again or perhaps for the first time. In a creative setting of acting, singing, dancing, and having fun the company is designed to bring entertainment to Siskiyou County. The theatre has been affiliated with College of The Siskiyous since its inception and is offered as an extension class.

In the summer of 2011, DeLeon Grabowski became the instructor/director, and to reflect the company’s growth and greater service to a larger audience, the name was changed to The Siskiyou Senior Players. Over the years they have performed over 60 shows in just about every corner of Siskiyou County, CA. with These Are The Good Old Day’s, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Bingo, Prime Time Follies, The Angina Chronicles, Still Crazy After All These Years, The Sunset Gang Rides Again, and The Jefferson State Follies plus shows for schools, fund raisers, and special occasions. The productions feature characters like Martha Stewed, Sunny Weathers, Sgt. Preston, Freddie & Martha Skidmarker, Maxine Bilgewater, Ima Doberman, and others. The company has enjoyed a variety of supportive audiences which always have a lot of fun.

The Siskiyou Senior Players are dedicated to performance, companionship, education, and fun!
