Bonnie's Column
Life gets busy with tons of details in my world of
home and family, plus a career in arts, aging, and
publishing--not easy! Who has time to consider, "Is my life
meaningful?" Sometimes the whirlwind's pace and velocity can
capture you until something happens that forces you to stop
and listen. That's what happened yesterday. I had been chatting
with a long time customer about her latest shows, the musical she
hopes to stage, and got an update on her health. At the end of the
conversation, she said, "You know, I love you." The
whirlwind paused. I was touched.
Yes, we do theatre and we do it with older adults but our work
transcends the whirlwind. It's so much more than just putting on a
play. We make a difference in people's lives. We affect actors,
audiences, and the community at large. It gives meaning far beyond
what we imagine.
In my search for a meaningful life, that special moment reminded me
of my purpose. So take a moment to pause and reflect on how
Senior Theatre adds to your life!

Senior Theatre 2018-2019 catalog
Our new
catalog is out!
Nine months in the making, our new catalog has hit
the streets, and copies have arrived in mail boxes. So many readers
have told us, "I love your new catalog!" They like the
color-coded, easy navigation, and the new look, adding
"It makes the collection come alive!"
Now with over 400 plays, books, and materials, we specialize
in up-to-date plays that feature sprightly and feisty older
characters in modern situations. There's something to
meet everyone's needs, from short sketches to full length musicals.

60 minute drama
This lovely play brings Julia Morgan to life. She was a
ground-breaking architect who designed more than 700 buildings
during her long and prolific career. Best known for Hearst Castle
in San Simeon, California, all she wanted was to be a world-class architect.
In this play, Mary and other characters explore her life and
whether she followed the right path.
Spaghetti Western

This hilarious western-themed slapstick comedy fest asks you
to choose sides, “Are you a Plainer or a Meatballer?”

and letters, contesting each other’s memory of a special romance.

Group of the Month: Drama in Progress
For over seven years, Jessica C. Ward has worked
with seniors through her company, Drama in Progress. They provide
drama classes to retirement communities and arts centers such as
the Parker Arts, Culture and Events Center in Parker, Colorado.
Jessica often finds herself creating curriculum, fine tuning
programs to fit each individual community. The newest addition to
the Drama in Progress family is The Top of the Hill Troupe, a group
of mostly seniors who tour to retirement communities, senior
