Bonnie's Column
We all
love upbeat messages about aging so you're going to enjoy Carl
Reiner's inspiring outlook. He's hit home runs both with his new
book Too Busy to Die and with his HBO special, If
you're Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast. Both are
receiving rave reviews. They are insights into people who are able
to live long with vitality and a sense of humor. Take a
look at the New York Times
article, then resolve to live fully, also!

So many shows were performed
this
spring!
You
won't believe the number of shows that have been staged this
spring. Take a look:
A Bag Full of Miracles was
performed in Florida:
Every actor said,
"This was so much fun I didn't want to see it
end." The music was so emotional at times, and so comical at
others. One of my biggest rewards was the overall comments heard
throughout our community that this was “The best show ever!”--a
great compliment since we have staged two shows a year for the past
20-plus years! --Dick,
Director
Senior Moments was performed in
California:
After the first 3 performances sold out, we decided to
move the production to our main stage theater, with 40% more seats,
and to hold it over for another week! --Theatre
producer
Misconceptions was a
hit in Oregon:
We had so much fun with this show! All the audiences loved
it! --Julie, Director
The Perils of Carmen Geditt was so
very funny in Arizona:
Perils was "hugely successful." --Susan,
Director
Dead Cat: The Play brought the house
down in California:
Dead Cat was a delightful farce with very funny ladies in
an unlikely plot! --Georgia, Director
Directors, actors, and audiences also enjoyed:

Senior Theatre OnStage2
Performance
From 1935-1936, San Diego was the scene of the Panama Pacific
Exposition. There were many unusual exhibits at the Expo, one was
an enclosed grotto where nudists performed normal daily activities
for the public to observe. It was one of the most lucrative and
well attended of all exhibits. The play with music tells the story
with some embellishments.
