The Senior Theatre sessions at this year's conference were excellent. Here's what people said about the past conference:

Who would’ve thought one conference could positively affect so many lives. Within hours, we found ourselves connecting deeply with new acquaintances as the wonderful world of Senior Theater brought us together and enriched our lives forever. Our group is still talking about the impact it had on us.
Linda LaRocque

It was great meeting others interested in Senior Theatre. With committment and fun, I was reminded of the joy being an actor or audience member and how it enriches lives. Bara Swain

• I came away with connections, resources, ideas, and inspirations...I'm fulfilled! Joe Gadon

The strand of sessions was well structured with both the veteran and the novice in mind. I felt at home, knowing that there's a place for me in Senior Theatre. Terence Madden

We are creating the 2017 program and hope that you'll contribute your expertise. Send in ideas for panel presentations, workshops, papers, and performances. Explore topics like:

• Senior Theatre company management
• Senior Theatre classes
• Senior Theatre for health, wellness
• Funding Senior Theatre
• New ideas in Senior Theatre
• Intergenerational Theatre
• Performances by Senior Theatre companies
• Other topics that relate to Senior Theatre.

Let us know how you would like to participate!

Past Prime Players at the 2016 conference

Please include on the Application Form:

• Contact information: name, address, phone, email
• Professional affiliation
• Presentation title
• A description of the content of your presentation
• If your presentation works as a panel, workshop, or performance
• Your technical requirements/AV. One item per session is free to us; ATHE pays the fee. For more than one, you'll need to submit payment by May 1, 2017. Please only request pieces you'll use.
• Room set up.
• Length of presentation. Can it be trimmed/expanded to fit with other presenters?

Here's the small print to questions about funding, guest passes, technical equipment, and other concerns.

• There are a few grants, funding requests, and guest registrations available but they must be requested with your proposal. Guest passes are usually for the day or for the session when you are participating. None are given to ATHE members.

• For performances, there is no technical equipment. Shows are performed in hotel conference rooms, not in equipped theatre spaces.

• You will not have access to the space prior to the session. So set-up and take-down of props, etc. must take place within the 15 minutes between sessions.

• All presenters must register for the conference and also pay the registration fee. If they have been given a guest pass, they must still register.

We receive confirmations in February or March and will notify submitters promptly.

Deadline for submissions: October 17, 2016
