Committee of Two
Committee of Two is a lighthearted new musical about two aging ingenues who reunite to plan their college reunion.
Some 50 years after Joyce studied Speech at Northwestern University, her path crossed with former classmate. They shared life experiences only to discover they both still loved and were performing musical theatre, now as ‘aging ingenues.’ Thus, Committee of Two was born.
Joyce Stern Greenberg was a show biz kid, and has been a singing comedienne, actress, teacher, director, producer, and host of a cable television series. From 1986-96, she was the artistic director of senior performing troupes, Acting Up! and Acting Up Too! From 2009-12, Joyce directed Spotlighters at the Mette. Recently, she directed An Intergenerational Salute to Movie Music with a cast of 35 senior and junior performers at Sun City Grand in Surprise, AZ. Since 1994, Joyce has served on the Joseph Jefferson Awards Committee in Chicago, which awards excellence in professional theatre.
Sandy Greenberg graduated from Loyola University’s Theatre Arts school and has played many principal roles. Among her favorites are Anna in King and I, Marian in Music Man, Lola in Damn Yankees and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. Sandy recently appeared as Gillian Holroyd in Bell Book and Candle in Surprise, AZ.

In Chicago, she has appeared in top venues and nightclubs, most recently at Davenport’s, Lakeview Theatre, Mayne Stage, the Skokie Theater, the Oil Lamp Theater, and at the Skokie Club.
