The Vintage Players, a group of dedicated senior actors from the Truckee Meadows Community College Theater Production class, have been performing since 1995. This year, they are once again busy composing and rehearsing for a live theater performance. In December, 2005, they will perform a new version of the show World War II Remembered. The cast, comprised of TMCC senior students, have written a montage of personal memories from the war years. These memory vignettes along with songs, jokes, multimedia slides and running commentary make up the hour-long program which is shown free to the public. The Vintage Players will tour weekly in the spring with a shortened version of the show to retirement and nursing homes in the area. Past successful touring shows by the Vintage Players include Vintage Burlesque, Home on the Range, Home Means Nevada, and The Roaring 20’s.
