Many of our shows work well as radio plays but these are especially wonderful!
NEW! THE QUIBBLES RADIO SHOWS Karen Riehl 5 minutes per sketch Casts from 4 to 40
The Quibbles Radio Shows is a collection of ten comedy sketches, reminiscent of radio shows of the '40s and '50's, featuring a delightfully quarrelsome couple, Carol and Quentin Quibble, in the hilarious skirmishes of everyday life. Carol is a well-meaning helpmate, eager to improve herself and her husband. Quentin is mostly interested in golf. Their next door neighbor, Madge, is the town busybody. Sketches from The Quibbles Radio Shows are easy to perform with well-drawn characters. Can be fully mounted plays, used in classes, or included in variety shows. Such fun!
It is such a pleasure to have an unique theatre experience with humor and fun that beckons back to the days of radio, the audience filling in the spaces with their imaginations. Wynne Weiss, Vista, California Public Library

Gender Flexible roles for 12-16 actors 40 minute radio play comedy
An old radio station in a small southern town, W.O.R.K. is signing off the air after 50 years. The station owners, a couple in their 70's have invited back their old favorite acts for one last nostalgic show before retiring. Your actors will love the "radio" format which allows them to read their part rather than memorizing it.
You will meet Margaret Buntmeyer: the pompous society reporter, Madame Cheri: the scatter-brained psychic, Susie: the depressed gardening expert, Eva Rose: the sexy torch singer, Priscilla: the devoted Yankee Elvis fan; and the eccentric cast from the local community theatre who show up to do Hamlet in four minutes with the help of a Foley artist doing funny sound effects.
THE LAST DAY AT W.O.R.K. was written for and performed by a Senior Theatre company. The four-minute version of the Hamlet scene was enthusiastically received at the Senior Theatre USA Performance Festival in Baltimore. This piece is southern comedy at its best!
