Panel Discussion: New Innovations in Theatre

Theatre ain’t what it used to be! See how theatre is shifting to accommodate many new and valuable forms. Broaden your theatrical definition and find out what works for you.

Local and regional history with its rich past, colorful characters, and quirky stories makes exciting theatre. Watch two productions and share their creative experiences. Very fundable!

Workshop: Improvisation: Crowds, Comedy, Health and Life

This Improvisation Workshop will help you explore how to use innovative techniques when working with large intergenerational groups as you create chaos and cohesion with a focus on comedy.

Aging is a hot topic! This sampling of short plays, scenes, and monodramas demonstrate how theatre can be used to give voice and insight to the aging experience.

Dinner off site for the Senior Theatre participants, friends and anyone else who’s interested! Meet, greet, relax, get acquainted and explore new ideas while breaking bread. Sign up during our Senior Theatre sessions. Then meet in the lobby before we head off to dinner at a modestly priced restaurant.

STRP Business Meeting

The Senior Theatre Research and Performance Focus Group will elect officers and discuss session proposals for 2009 ATHE Conference. We’ll also brainstorm about what is needed in the field.
