Welcome to ACT where we ACTivate senior and intergenerational communities through theatre classes, workshops, and performance troupes. We bring our programs to your senior center, library, retirement, independent living and all communities who wish to get into the ACT.
Our classes include:
Intergenerational classes and performance companies for ages 5 – 105 include classes in improvisation, playacting, singing Broadway tunes and NewAges, a performance troupe.
Senior community classes for ages 55+ include classes in storytelling, life stories, comedy, singing, and a performance troupe designed especially for your community.
We are based in the Charlotte, NC area and will travel up to 125 miles so we can help ACTivate YOUR Community through Theatre.
Dr. Wrenn Goodrum has a BFA in acting from the University of the North Carolina School of the Arts. She worked first as an actor in New York City and then started a youth theatre, All Children’s Theatre, in Rhode Island. She is an award winning director, receiving the prestigious Moss Hart award for best production in New England. She was the recipient of a RI Foundation Fellowship and received an Honorary Doctorate of Pedagogy from Rhode Island College
Wrenn is a talented and dedicated artist and educator with a passion for her work and her community. Under her leadership, she impacted thousands of lives in our city, helping many overcome incredible obstacles in their lives by learning how to express themselves through theatre.
